I was reading the Wallkill Library’s latest newsletter and noticed one of the programs they are running for tweens/teens this month is a 6 week class on computer programming. The specific program being taught is called “Scratch” which is used to teach novice programmers and is more user-friendly. The ages for the classes are from 10 – 18. It doesn’t say who is teaching it, but it sounds interesting. Has anyone ever worked with this program? Are they teaching it in the schools? Would it be worth ordering a book about it?
