Now that football season is over, baseball mania will soon be here. For fans of that sport “Trouble with the Curve” will be an appealing movie. Starring Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams, it is the story of an aging baseball scout who is losing his sight. Eastwood, who did not direct this movie, is perfectly cast. He personifies a crusty, old guy who doesn’t mince words. Sounds like this script was written with Eastwood in mind. Amy Adams is also very good as his daughter, who thinks her father abandoned her after her mother died. This is a good back story, but it is baseball that is the real star. A supporting cast of good character actors rounds out a good movie that even non-baseball fans will enjoy.
