The library has membership in four area museums.  These museums allow us to lend our member passes to our library users.  The passes allow free admission for a family and can be checked out for 3 days.

Patrons with Palisades Free Library cards may reserve passes in advance.  Passes must be picked up on the day for which they are reserved.

The Intrepid Museum Pass is only available to Palisades Card-Holders.

Only one pass per family may be checked out at a time.

The fine for overdue passes is $10 a day.

New Harmony: Abstraction between the Wars, 1919-1939

May 10 - September 8, 2013.
Explore a particularly rich facet of the Guggenheim’s 20th-century collection, celebrating the spirited trends in abstraction embraced among international artists working in Europe between the World Wars. The exhibition—titled for a 1936 Paul Klee painting of utopian geometry that reflects the artist’s interest in color theory and musical composition—features approximately 40 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper by some 20 artists, including Alexander Calder, Alberto Giacometti, Fernand Léger, Francis Picabia, and Joaquín Torres-García.
